COVID-19 Response

EPS will continue to follow the CDC and other health organizations to keep our students and staff safe and healthy.

Policies

The CDC has updated their guidance for K-12 schools regarding COVID-19. The following is the plan for the ’22-’23 school year at EPS. You can read more at Operational Guidance for K-12 Schools and Early Care and Education Programs to Support Safe In-Person Learning | CDC.

EPS will continue the strategy of layered precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections such as flue and RSV. These precautions include:

  • Daily and nightly cleaning and sanitizing
  • Regular handwashing
  • Regular air filter changes
  • Use of air purifiers in the classrooms
  • Optional mask use at low and medium community levels

*Students and staff may be asked to wear masks at high/red community levels or if there is a school community outbreak.

Mandated School Closure Plan

If school is closed by the state, local government, or EPS, we will move directly to remote learning until school can resume. Call for more details.

*Changes to this plan could be made at any time due to the nature of the situation and state and federal recommendations.
